About Us
Northeastern Subcontractors Association, Inc. (NESCA) is a non-profit trade association representing over 500 Northeastern New York subcontractors, specialty contractors and material and equipment suppliers. Founded in 1971, NESCA is a full-service organization committed to serving the needs of commercial, industrial and institutional subcontractors, specialty contractors and material suppliers located in the Capital District, Hudson Valley, north country and Binghamton areas.
NESCA concentrates exclusively on the business issues affecting its members. From subcontract language to payment concerns; from lien law reform to reducing retainage; NESCA fights to protect the interests of subcontractors and suppliers doing business in New York State.
We represent over 500 Northeastern New York subcontractors, specialty contractors and material and equipment suppliers.
NESCA was established for four basic purposes; to provide its members with information, education, advocacy and networking opportunities within the construction industry. Information is provided to members through monthly newsletters, special emails and bulletins, and at monthly membership meetings. NESCA educates its members with an extensive array of management seminars, supervisory training programs, OSHA training and other seminars and courses provided through an educational partnership with the Associated General Contractors of NYS and Eastern Contractors Association. Advocacy is provided by NESCA through comprehensive representation of our members' interests before the NYS Legislature, public contracting agencies and the business community. NESCA members also have plenty of networking opportunities by way of monthly membership meetings as well as annual events such as our Trade Show and our Meet the Estimators networking event.
Since its inception, NESCA has grown into the largest regional subcontractors association in the nation. The association's growing membership includes both union and open-shop companies.
