Membership Benefits
Building Success
When you join NESCA, you connect with construction industry leaders who can help you build your business. NESCA offers information, education and resources that can make you more competitive in the marketplace - and we give you a voice on the issues that affect your business success.
Why Should You Join NESCA
Lien Filing Service
Members of NESCA are entitled to have up to three liens per (fiscal) year filed by NESCA absolutely free of charge. This includes the cost of all filing fees, postage and administrative expense.
Lien Reporting
Each month, NESCA sends members a list of all liens NESCA has filed on behalf of members during the preceding month.
Business Practices Interchange
The Business Practices Interchange (BPI) allows members to obtain accurate, first-hand information on the business practices of general contractors, developers and owner-builders. Each year NESCA asks members to provide us with the names of contractors they have done business with during the preceding twelve months. This information is then entered into NESCA's database. Members seeking information about a particular contractor may then call the NESCA office and receive the names of other members who have recently done business with that company. By contacting fellow members directly, members can receive solid, valuable, first-hand information which helps them to make intelligent choices as to who they elect to do business with.
Worker's Compensation Safety Group
The Empire State Subcontrators Association (ESSA) Workers' Compenssation Safety Group #560 was formed so that NESCA members can take advantage of the safety group concept to reduce premiums and to have access to professional loss control services and claims management services, the cost of which can be enormous for an individual firm to undertake on its own..Safety and claims management services combined with upfront discounts and year-end dividends can offer significant savings for NESCA members.
Sample Forms, Letters & Other Documents
NESCA membership provides members with access to all types of sample letters, policies and summaries along with hundreds of other sample documents to assist them with almost any situation.
Monthly Newsletter
NESCA members receive timely construction industry information through the monthly Newsletter, and are made aware of changes in construction law and regulation literally as these changes occur.
Membership Directory and Website
For nearly 50 years NESCA has marketed the products and services of our members through the annual publication and distribution of a Membership Directory to general contractors, subcontractors, A/E firms, and local and state contracting agencies for their use and reference. More recently, NESCA developed a complimentary online service called Find a Sub to provide general contractors and others with immediate on-line access to business and market information about NESCA members. The Find a Sub contains such information as: specialty; years in business; market geography; bonding capacity; project size range; number of employees; union or open shop; licenses and certifications held; M/WBE status and other important information.
